Screw Spikes | UIC864-1 Sleeper Screws for SKL Rail Fastening System
Screw spikes, also widely known as sleeper screws or rail coach screws, are the core anchoring fasteners of the European SKL series railway fastening system, manufactured strictly according to UIC 864-1 standard. They replace traditional cut dog spikes and deliver much higher pull-out resistance, reusable installation and stable performance under cyclic train vibration and heavy dynamic loads.
Our screw spikes are forged and machined from premium carbon steel. Available strength grades: 4.6, 5.6 and 8.8. Grade 5.6 is the standard choice for general passenger and freight lines; Grade 8.8 high tensile version is customized for heavy-haul mineral railways and high-frequency turnout zones.

- Hot-dip galvanized (HDG): Good corrosion resistance for humid regions
- Dacromet / Sherardizing: Superior salt spray resistance for coastal, offshore and corrosive environments
M22, M24 (Ss1, Ss8, Ss25, Ss35 are the most popular models). Square head is the mainstream European style. Custom lengths, special head shapes and drawing-based OEM orders are acceptable.
Every batch undergoes strict quality inspection, including tensile test, hardness test, thread gauge inspection and surface defect check before shipment.
