From January to August 2022, the total profits of industrial enterprises above designated size nationwide were 5,525.40 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 2.1%; the total profits of the manufacturing industry were 4,077.72 billion yuan, a decrease of 13.4%.

From January to August 2022, the operating income of the national metal products industry was 3,077.48 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 2.4%; the operating cost was 2,727.39 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 3.1%; the total profit was 114.6 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 11.5%.
